Offensive Combat: Redux launch trailer is here
Developer ThreeGate AB and publisher Slapshot Games have released the official launch trailer for Offensive Combat: Redux. The trailer comes ahead of the games launch on the 18th of this month. Check it out below!
For those who don’t know, Offensive Combat: Redux is a multiplayer FPS game. Each match has up to 15 players duking it out on the battlefield with 6 different maps at launch. As to be expected from an online FPS game, it features modes such as Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch and Capture the Flag however, more modes may be coming in the future.
As a bonus, there’s also a small section of the game dedicated to single player. This is perfect for practicing with different weapons and characters before jumping into the long fray. It includes the following single player modes:
- Map Exploration
- Weapon Range
- Bot Mode
If you’re looking for a game that takes itself seriously, you might want to looks elsewhere. There’s a large number of characters and skins which range from Aliens to Chickens and Pirates. Not to mention there’s also meme-inspired skins to select from. Natrually, it’s also possible to teabag enemies and players are rewarded for doing this. Teabagging an enemy will reap extra experience points and random drops. So it’s actually worth doing in OCR despite the risk of being shot at by another player.
The developers plan to support this game post launch with new maps, modes and characters. So there’s plenty of content to come over the next few months which is great to see. However, the game is exclusive to Windows PC right now and there’s no word on a release for Mac or Linux computers.
There’s currently an ongoing beta for the game which is open to everyone in Europe and North America. The team is currently working on translations for Asia and is getting partners in place for an Asian launch.
We should have a review for OCR will be coming later this month also.
