E3 2017: Best of Bethesda
For some people, the Bethesda conference was a bit of a let down. Mostly due to the fact that we were expecting Bethesda to unveil a new IP which is something that had been hinted at for months. Despite this though, the company did have quite a bit to show in a relatively short space of time including two new games.
Dishonored 2: Death of the Outsider
As we expected, Dishonored 2 is getting a new DLC! However, there’s no way we could have predicted this one. The main focus of this DLC is an assassination attempt on the Outsider. It seems unlikely that this will go as planned but it will be interesting to get some more information about this mysterious character in the Dishonored universe.
This DLC will be arriving on September 15th later this year.
The Evil Within 2
While this trailer doesn’t show a lot of gameplay, it certainly has the creepy vibe from the first game. If the trailer is anything to go by then we should be looking at a rather creepy game which is easily a contender for Horror Game of the Year. The game follows Detective Sebastian Castellanos who has been given a chance to save his daughter by entering a nightmare filled world. We can’t wait.
The Evil Within 2 will be launching on October 13th later this year.
Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus
We were told that MachineGames is working on something “bananas” and this trailer certainly confirms it! The new Wolfenstein game certainly looks incredible and the trailer highlights the hilarious nature of the series. This is one game you don’t want to miss.
The Bethesda conference also showed quite a bit for The Elder Scrolls series with Legends, Online and Skyrim coming to the Nintendo Switch. The Switch version of Skyrim will be compatible with some amiibo but full details on this aren’t available just yet. In addition to this, Quake Champions is now in Open Beta for everyone to explore.
