Games We’re Excited To See at E3
The whole community is excited. Big names as well as the smaller ones are going to be there. So many reveals. So many secrets are coming to light. Who isn’t excited for that? With E3 coming up, we take a look at all the games that we’re excited for.
Far Cry 5:
How can you not be excited for this? The trailer is amazing and promises the players a fantastic setting and storyline. Set in the scenic yet chaotic back drop of Hope County, Montana ruled by fanatical cultists along with their fervent leader Joseph Seed, Ubisoft’s Far Cry 5 has the familiar components that has made these games so well loved and well received but this time adding a more larger customization system; possibly the largest in the series. I can’t wait to see what more the developers will reveal to us at E3. Hopefully we will see some gameplay as well.
The Last of Us 2:
Sony and Naughty Dog’s newest installment is set after the events of the first one. Check out the trailer and you’ll see an older, pissed off Ellie. Instead of the game being about love, “…the story is about hate.” said the Director Neil Druckmann during the PlayStation conference in December of last year. So, I can’t wait to see this one at E3. Maybe then, we will learn more about not only the story but also the settings, gameplay, and even the characters within the game. Hopefully, the release date will be revealed as well.
This is another game that I’m excited for. Not much information is known about this game except the fact that it takes place in Ancient Egypt. I cannot wait to see what Ubisoft has in store for us. I’m expecting a fantastic experience with exceptional graphics and a storyline that will be intriguing. There’s not much else to say and unfortunately, I don’t have a trailer or even a picture to show here.
Call of Duty World War 2:
After watching the reveal conference and trailer, I have to say that it looks fantastic and promising. Activision and Sledgehammer games will hopefully give us more information on Call of Duty: WW2. What we do already know about it is the element of “…boots on the ground.” historically accurate game that delves into the life of a soldier and the concept of Brothers in arms. This game will be released on November 3rd of this year.
Star Wars Battlefront 2:
The trailer looks so amazing and intriguing which makes this another game we are excited to see at E3. You play as the leader of the imperial forces Iden Versio. We do know that there will be a multiplayer aspect to the game as well as featuring many iconic characters including Kylo Ren, Rey, Darth Maul and others. Be sure to tune in on Saturday for the full EA conference at E3. Maybe then we will get even more information on this Star Wars game.
Bungie and Activision will be revealing more information about Destiny 2 at E3. I have to say after seeing the trailer, it looks really awesome. The game is set to release on September 8th of this year.
What more can I say about this? The trailer gives us an sneak peek of the look and the feel of the game. We are traveled through the dark and dreary streets of a past London (1918 to be exact) that’s filled with danger (disease) and a protagonist, Dr. Jonathan Reid (a vampire as well) who must save not only London but the people he wants to help. Be sure to check out the conference as well as the trailer. I can’t wait to see more information about this game.
So, this has recently been revealed to the public. Created by the people who brought us Sniper Elite, this game looks like it’ll be so much fun. I love the trailer as it has this old timey feel to it, right down to the narrator’s voice and the background music. Yes, this game does take place in the 1930s. And it’s an adventure game. Did you see the giant Anubis? More will be revealed at E3, possibly along with some gameplay.
God of War:
Of course, I can’t leave out this amazing game series that I’ve come to love (possibly as much as I love the Tomb Raider series). Check out the article Rich Meister’s post about God of War. He tells you everything you need to know about it. Also be sure to check out the Sony conference as well.
Detroit: Become Human
Quantic Dream and Sony have created a beautifully crafted game that takes on the meaning of life, of being human and what it means to be an android. This seems to be the “choices do matter” type of game. From the fast-paced, high-intensity trailer, I can’t wait to see what else Sony will reveal next.
As I close the list of games we want to see, I can’t leave without mentioning the rumors about a new Splinter Cell game. Hopefully, it will also be announced. I also have to say how disappointed I am that Hideo Kojima’s Death Stranding will not be featured in E3 this year. Let us know what you think and what games are you excited to see.
