Pokemon Direct round-up | 6.6.2017
Nintendo just held a Pokemon themed Nintendo Direct and here’s the latest news from the short event.
Pokken Tournament DX
Nintendo has announced that the Nintendo Switch will be getting another fighting game. This time, it’s a port of the Wii U game Pokken Tournament. This version of the game however will be called Pokken Tournament DX and will include a range of new features.
- 5 new Pokemon: Darkrai, Scizor, Empoleon, Croagunk and Decidueye
- 3v3 team battles
- Online ranked play
The game will be releasing on September 22nd and a playable demo will be featured at E3 next week.
Pokemon Ultra Sun and Pokemon Ultra Moon
Two new Pokemon games will be coming for the 3DS later this year. These two games will have an “alternate story” to the original versions however, there are no details on this right now. In addition to this, there will be new features and Pokemon featured in the game. Again, there are no details on this right now.
Both games will be released together for the Nintendo 3DS on November 17th later this year.
Pokemon Gold and Silver
Don’t get too excited, this isn’t for a remake or remaster. Nintendo is porting the two Pokemon games to the Virtual Console this September on the 22nd. However, there’s no mention of their sister game Pokemon Crystal.
These versions of the game will be coming with local wireless connectivity that will allow players to trade and battle with each other just like in the original releases. In addition to this, these titles are also compatible with Pokemon Bank so users will be able to transfer them to Pokemon Sun and Moon in addition to the newly announced Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon.
